My Gradual Love Story

During this valentine's week, Yahoo lifestyle was running these real life love stories which were about common people like us. While reading one of the story, I felt like writing mine too...so I wrote and e-mailed it to the ID provided. But, I guess I was late! Better luck for the next year:-)

My Gradual Love story goes something along these lines....

I met my now husband, then boy friend Chethan for the first time in the year 1998 in Bangalore. I had a few of my school friends studying in the same college as him. They would all hang out in the same gang. Mine was a girls college and we cudnt even bunk as the same lecturers would take sessions in the morning & afternoon. So, If I wanted to bunk I would go to their college & stay till evening so much so that they would tease me saying they will get me an ID card. :-) We were just friends for quite a long time. but I had a soft spot for him from the bginning. He finished college and moved on to a job. He was my friend's senior by a year. Ours was a gradual love story. I was studying my final year diploma in the year 2001. He would ask me to call him everyday in my lunch break and talk for 2 calls. We did not have mobiles in those days. He would come home to meet me once in a while or we would just talk over the phone (landline). After he left college is when we became more close (he would run away from me when he was in college as his friends would tease us saying a good pair. As he is a little vertically challenged & I am more so :-) Finally, I had guessed about his feelings for me & made him confess. Once that was done, I was confused whether i should accept it or just be friends. I was not sure what the future held for us. My parents were very conservative (especially my mother). We were seeing each other for about 2 years when I had to tell my parents about him. There was a huge row at my place. they did not agree to get us married and we were yet to settle down in our professional life. I was very adamant that if & when I marry it will be to him and no one else.

After innumerous emotional blackmails and rows at home my parents had no choice but to agree to get us married. And we finally tied the knot on the 27th of May 2004. He was my pillar of strength throughout this period (the strong & the silent types) He still is...We are nearing our 8th anniversay and have an angel of our own who is going to be 6 this year. I joke with him saying now that we have crossed our 7 year itch, it is like starting afresh with the first year!!

We are going to celebrate our 8th Anniversay in May!

  1. The hublot replica uk is water resistant to 100 meters and has a screw-down crown along with a sapphire crystal. Of course, the "Cyclops lens" over the date helps one read it more easily. I found the meteorite dial to be a beautiful and compelling addition to the replica watches uk theme. Rolex uses only top quality materials, especially for its higher-end collections, so you get a fantastic piece of replica watches that is both legible and useful. One of the appeals of this rolex replica sale is the accumulation of rare materials in one product, as it combines 18ct white gold, diamonds, and meteorite, all of which are considered precious materials. While the actual market scarcity of these materials can be debated, one of the purposes of integrating these materials together is to enhance the inherent worth of the rolex replica sale.
