I have had this anklet for more than a year & i wear it on my left foot. I bought it from this little basement shop in Gandhi Bazaar - for people who dont know where or what thi place is - it is an area in South Bengalooru and a paradise for good traditional food & very traditional shopping, with Vidhyarthee bhavan on one end & Upahara Darshini on the other of DV Gundappa road :-)!
I just paid about 20 bucks for this but I really fell in love with this because of the color combo. It has become quite loose as it is just a strand of elastic with small colorful beads.
Coming to the point on the topic - While on holiday in The Great Outdoors, Karwar. We had the small little beach to just ourselves and we were all being small kids. We were running on the beach and jumping into the water screaming. So, on one such jump my anklet slid off from my foot into the water and i did not realize until some time later. Only then i noticed it was missing.
I was a little sad because of my attachment to it. I was telling hubby on the trek back from the beach as he was carrying our daughter.
We went to the beach again the next afternoon and the daughter was playing at the edge of water. Suddenly, she screamed "amma" and I wondering what happened, looked at her and she had "my anklet" dangling from her tiny fingers...she is like - amma see - i found your anklet which you lost yesterday. I was so happy that she had found it for me! If it was anyone else they wouldnt have noticed it at all!! Shud I say it was just pure co-incidence or my anklet trying to find me through my daughter (too melodramatic even for me???)- I am sure my 3 best friends would totally agree on this!!. Now, I have it back where it belongs!! :-)
The daughter makes sure I tell this story to everyone who will listen - about her finding my lost anklet :-)
So I thought why not make it immortal and after some years for her to read my blog and think I told it to everyone who read it from all those years!!! ;-) nice idea! what say?????
Ya ya i can imagine the melodramatic-ness in this story. It's nvr ever happened with me :(
